Sterling silver heart-form jewelry box. Made by Durgin in Providence, ca. 1900, for JE Caldwell in Philadelphia. Heart-form with hinged and raised cover. Low relief ornament: crowned and beribboned cartouches (vacant), garlands, and cornucopias. Box and cover interior lined with black velvet. Hallmark includes maker s and retailer s marks as well as no. 134. Excellent condition.
