This listing is for two knives that came from the same family here in Central North Carolina. All they knew is they belonged to theirgrandfather and then father. They were handed down,obviously.
Anyhow, I have the book \"Confederate Bowie Knives\" and if you look at some of the following pages, you will see similar styles, especially on the grips. North Carolinaexamples I\'m pretty sure. See pages: 162, 163, 194, & 242.
Handmade, unique and REAL. Too bad about thegrip on the D-Guard -beautifully curly maple but it\'s long split the scene.
I\'m no expert in this type of thing, I\'m mostly into WWII & Vietnam stuff. I get what I get, and I gotlucky on this call.No scabbards, what a shame but that\'s how it goes. I just feel lucky to have them.
