Hi, this is a original Schwinn Meteor Bicycle ( faded decal on chain guard reads Meteor), the serial number reads C42360, we think and we were told that makes it a 1953, ( we were told that was the only year Schwinn used the Meteor name) it has aBendix brake and black rear hub, the front hub is scriptedSchwinn, it has matching tires that are 26 x2.125 on S2 rims, a skip tooth sweetheart sprocket, both grips are marked Schwinn , its a good rider, the brake works, the bike should clean up better,My Son picked this upfrom a sale, heis hoping itwas worth saving, he has owned it a monthnow, he started collecting old bikes when he was 13, he is now 17he is always upgrading and changing his collection, therewere 16 bikes in my garage then he sold a few (now he picked up 7 more in the last 14 days!!) (LOL), I told him that he has to thin it down to 6 by winter so he is going to keep all of his early boys 26 inch ballooners and sell the rest over the summer, if you have any info on this bike or see a mistake in the listing please let us know so we can pass it along, shipping to the lower 48 only, thanks for looking Mark & Michael
