An unusual Bolt for the 1903 Springfield Rifle. It is a boltmade to use the BUEHLER SAFETY a low rise bolt for when a scope is attached to a Springfield Rifle. It likely is also used on a Sportstock. I show pictures side by side with a standard Bolt from a military rifle. Also it fits into a standard 03 and it cocks and fires (Dry Fire) when the trigger is pulled. The safety however can not be engaged. I suspect there is possibly a miss alignment or the bolt is slightly miss aligned when forward and the stock needs to be cut out a bit in order for the bolt to fully close. If this happened then the safety Flag may be able to be flipped. I am only guessing. I found that the BEUHLER Modifications are widely sought after and that they are no longer made. A typical 03 complete bolt seems to sell for between $45.00 and $85.00 I will start this one at $50.00 and see where it goes. Questions welcome and more information is welcome as well.
