Product Description:this product complies with all FCC rules and regulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!to the best of my knowledge this amplifier was manufactured before april 28,1978 this linear is a Texas star DX-250. Has 2 TOSHIBA green dot PILLS . This linear is being sold a bit cheaper for couple reasons, # 1 the only light bulbs that light up are the preamplifier white light/White switch, and the meter lights up from behind when the amplifier is keyed up to transmit. However those are the only two lightbulbs that work if you choose a would be up to you to buy replacement bulbs and hopefully that would solve the problem for the other three switches. The meter on the front of this linear does not move is stuck. So if you choose to replace it than that is your choice but it is not guaranteed or warrantied. This unit comes with about 2 feet of red and black zip cord approximately 12 or 14gauge newly soldered in and on, there is silicone around the rear hole where the unit exits from the amplifier. This linear works great on and AM / FM / AND SIDEBAND because one of the two orange switches are for the delay for one sideband is being used so that it does not sound like a chatterer clattering box with the relays. So if you want to do the little fix-it tricks to make this linear look prettier than that\'s up to you, however everything else works great on this amplifiers far as preamp etc. etc. and it does what it should.this linear is priced to sell and if you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to ask.......but with the terms and conditions as follows; all sales final, completely sold as /is, no refunds, no returns, no exchanges, no credits, no guarantees or warranties whether implied or otherwise all sales final, this is due to parts swappers/swipers. 97.315 Certification of external RF power amplifiers.to the best of my knowledge this amplifier has been manufactured before April 28, 1978

(a) Any external RF power amplifier (see §2.815 of the FCC Rules) manufactured or imported for use at an amateur radio station must be certificated for use in the amateur service in accordance with subpart J of part 2 of the FCC Rules. No amplifier capable of operation below 144 MHz may be constructed or modified by a non-amateur service licensee without a grant of certification from the FCC.

(b) The requirement of paragraph (a) does not apply if one or more of the following conditions are met:

(1) The amplifier is constructed or modified by an amateur radio operator for use at an amateur station.

(2) The amplifier was manufactured before April 28, 1978, and has been issued a marketing waiver by the FCC, or the amplifier was purchased before April 28, 1978, by an amateur radio operator for use at that operator\'s station.

(3) The amplifier is sold to an amateur radio operator or to a dealer, the amplifier is purchased in used condition by a dealer, or the amplifier is sold to an amateur radio operator for use at that operator\'s station.

(c) Any external RF power amplifier appearing in the Commission\'s database as certificated for use in the amateur service may be marketed for use in the amateur service.
