A beautiful parlor organ by the Estey Company in a Victorian or Eastlake style. The Estey Organ Company of Brattlesboro, VT produced organs beginning in 1852. The serial number on this parlor organ is 95628 (there is a faded label on the interior of the organ that is somewhat visible in the last photo), which the Estey Organ Museum website dates to 1878-1880. The organ is in amazing condition for an instrument that is 135 years old! The exterior has minimal scratching and/or finish loss, and all keys and stops are intact. The organ plays very nicely, with better volume produced by some stops as opposed to others. There are only 2 keys on the keyboard that I could not get to produce a sound when pressed. This is an attractive item that would be a conversation piece in any room, regardless of whether you enjoy playing it.Although this item is listed as local item pickup only, we offer free delivery to locations within 60 miles of Wilmington, OH (Columbus, Dayton, Cincinnati area).
