1878 Steinway & Sons Style II Model B Grand Piano Rare Victorian Rosewood Rococo Style

Someone asked me for a video on this, so I now have one on Youtube. I didn\'t have time to tune it first (after a cross country move), but plays great. action is very responsive. Considering this I have raised the Buy it Now Price, but am open to reasonable offers. Unless I get an offer I like I am moving it to my living room and keeping it! This exquisitely beautiful Steinway & Sons Model B Grand Piano (Semi-concert Grand 7 octave, 85 key, 6\' 9\" long, sometimes referred to as a Style II) is all original, and as such is very rare and hard to come by. In recent years many of these have been snapped up by the International Market, where they are held in especially high esteem. Due to this, there are only a finite number of these rare gems left within the USA, and they are quickly disappearing to the overseas market. All keys play and the piano has a very nice tone and touch typical of antique 19th Century Steinways. This would be a perfect candidate for a historically sympathetic restoration, which would involve careful restoration of original parts rather than replacement with new ones. All parts including legs, lyre and music desk are original and stamped with the same serial number as on the case of the piano (see photos). More photos of the interior to follow. I do have a closely matching cabriole leg bench in rough condition that I can send along with it. I also have a nice Steinway fretwork ornate carved music rack that I could include but the music desk pictured does appear to be the original, at least the desk it is mounted on definitely is. Serial number 40088.

Take special note: The wood grain on the rosewood on this Steinway is exceptional - just look at the figuring on the fallboard highlighting the Steinway name - what antique piano aficionadowould not fall in love with this Steinway!

I have other Steinway pianos coming in on a regular basis and I am always open to package deals. Right now I have quite a few nice Steinway Grand Pianos in stock and also more on their way in.
