1945 Willys MB Military Jeep:
$6000.00

This is an original Willys MB military jeep. It has had a frame off restoration. The vehicle was sandblasted and primered. The body was removed from the frame and new channels were installed on the underside of the body. The body was painted with Olive Drab paint. The engine has been rebuilt. This project was being done for a friend who backed out and it is not going to be finished. It is 90% complete. It has seat frames for front seats, but no rear seat. It has no gauges. It needs general cosmetics. A spare will be provided, but the combat rim shown does not go with it. There are some other misc. spare parts that are included. If you have been wanting a military jeep, but couldn\'t afford it or didn\'t want to pay the restored prices, here is your chance. Buy one now that is rust free and ready to finish. A $500 deposit is expected within 24 hours. The balance is expected within 7 days. Pick up should be within 14 days. Longer pick up time or arrangements must be made in advance.

All sheet metal is included with this jeep. There is a hood, fenders, grille. They have not been sandblasted, primered, or painted. There is a bumper. The glove box door with all data plates is included as is a title. Everything mechanical is included. There is a starter and generator, radiator, carb. There is an alternator shown which you can use if you want to convert it to 12v. The friend we were building it for wanted it to be 12v with an alternator. The carb has not been rebuilt as of yet. The tires that are on it are good rollers. We never put correct tires on a vehicle until the last step. We are not including military tires, but these tires will work fine for completing it and moving it around. I hope this addresses the questions I have received so far. Please feel free to ask more questions.

On Jun-10-13 at 12:28:11 PDT, seller added the following information:

I have added a photo of how the vehicle started out before anything was done to it. Just to review what has been done.

  • Glove box door with data plates was removed from vehicle for safe-keeping
  • Vehicle was sandblasted
  • Body was removed from frame and hat channels were correctly repaired by a professional body shop
  • Frame and frame horns all are good
  • Body and frame were painted
  • An engine was obtained and torn down and rebuilt by a machine shop
  • Engine, transmission and transfer case were painted and installed
  • Gas tank was painted and set in vehicle (had not been secured)
  • Handles, bumperettes, spare tire mount, jerry can mount were installed
  • Spare tire was placed on for location only. Combat rim is not included, but a spare will be included.

This is where the project stopped and is being put up for sale. There are additional parts that came with the vehicle and/or were obtained for the vehicle. There are a couple boxes of loose parts. There are also the windshield frame

  • Bumper
  • Glove box door with data plates
  • I hope this gives you a better idea. If you need to call or email questions, you can do so. This has generated a lot of interest. We have other restored vehicles and other projects so don\'t want to get involved in finishing this one which is the reason for this sale.

On Jun-11-13 at 11:26:51 PDT, seller added the following information:

I have added some more photos of the restoration process so you can see the condition better. For those inquiring about shipping, we have worked with shipping companies in the past as well as shipped vehicles overseas. We will be flexible on these arrangements and do what we can to accommodate the winning buyer. Thanks for all the interest!
