This award winning 1968 John Deere 140 H-3 (md. TO584 -sn.001397M) is being offered for sale-for the first time since restoration. Unit comes with original 48 inch brass tag rotary mower (md.E0590–sn.002079M. Options on tractor include original Heavy Duty Air Cleaner Assembly, rear PTO assembly, aftermarket front weight bracket, and original John Deere tractor cover. Also included is the custom built parade chariot with John Deere umbrella, rear flasher lights, and the theme from “Green Acres”.Restoration of tractor included complete disassembly, rebuild of the Kohler K-301 engine, all new factory wiring and switches, new front Electromagnetic Clutch, all new front wheel bearings, front pivot axel bushing, (4) all new tires, upgraded flex coupling for hydrostatic drive shaft, new hydrostatic shift lever, new battery with new positive and negative cables. Installed factory battery cover, and fuel tank spill drain. Frame and related metal parts powder coated with respective colors. Fiberglass hood is aftermarket, as the original was broken. New headlight bezel and lights installed. Cigarette lighter included (never used). Parade chariot was custom built in my shop (not for road towing) has been used in our parade exhibits. Won best of our class in Los Alamos Old Days Parade.
