1997 Baldwin 7\' Semi Concert Grand Piano Model SF-10 Serial Number 0348649

If you want one of the best pianos ever made, you should definitely consider this piano.

1) a seven foot grand piano of any brand is a rare instrument to find used, a seven foot grand is the best of the best, the only thing better is a 9 foot grand which are made for concert halls

2) This particular Baldwin grand piano was hand built in the USA, is one of the finest pianos ever made, and is a heavenly instrument to play.

3) Many distinguished musicians have chosen to compose, perform and record using Baldwin pianos, including the pianists Walter Gieseking, Claudio Arrau, Jorge Bolet, Earl Wild and José Iturbi and the composers Aaron Copeland, Philip Glass, Igor Stravinsky, Béla Bartók, Stephen Sondheim, Leonard Bernstein and John Williams. Baldwin pianos have been used by popular entertainers including Ray Charles, Liberace, Richard Carpenter, Michael Feinstein, Bruce Hornsby, Billy Joel, Amy Lee, (lead vocalist, pianist and keyboardist of Evanescence), and Carly Simon, and jazz pianists Dave Brubeck, George Shearing and Dick Hyman. A Baldwin piano was seen nightly being played by Paul Shaffer on the Late Show with David Letterman. Baldwin was the official piano of the television show Glee. Marian McPartland\'s long-running radio show Piano Jazz was hosted by Baldwin. Baldwin was second only to Steinway in its artist and symphony roster.

4) We are selling this piano for it\'s original owner, he purchased it new in 1997 in hopes of learning to play the piano, it\'s been played a few times, the hammer felt and key action has very little evidence of use. We have had the piano checked out and fully inspected by one of the piano technicians from UT Austinand has received a clean bill of health. You are of course welcome to hire you own tech to inspect the piano.

5) What is a fair price? This piano listed for $45,000 in 1997. To put this in perspective: a 7\' Steinway listed about $60,000 in 1997 and used today brings about $50,000, a new 2016 Steinway B is $98,000; a 7\' Yamaha listed for $40,000 in 1997, and used today brings about $35,000, a 2016 Yamaha C7X is $80,000. This Baldwin is in excellent condition mechanically and functionally, the cabinet has very minor and normal wear over the years.

6) This piano features the World Renowned German Renner Action. The Renner action incorporates over 6,000 individual components using natural materials like wood, leather, and felt, which are handcrafted to the highest precision and all work together to transmit the energy and musical expression of the player through the rest of the instrument. The Renner Action is the choice of top world class pianos for over 100 years including: Mason & Hamlin, Steinway & Sons, Bosendorfer, Schimmel, Charles Walter, just to name a few.

8) There are very few ways to describe a beautiful acoustic musical instrument in print or text, so if we have you intrigued, please purchase, orcome on in to our storecheck it out.
9)We don\'t list many grands on ,but what we have listed and sold on are the rare, unique, extra special, hard to findgrand pianos like this one. I, the store manager, have played piano for 42 years, have taught piano lessons for 33 years, will tell you that this is an incredibly fine piano. I personally put it at the top of the list of any piano we have sold in the last 28 years at the store I work at. If you think you live too far away, it\'s worth the plane ticket to come check it out.
10) ShippingOptions. We are not including shipping, and shipping a grand does take an experienced service. If you are concerned about getting a more precise shipping quote we will need to hear from you so we can get every detail we need and then go from there to get a more precise quote. There are several ways we can get the piano to you, listed in order of preference: a)wecan hand deliver up to about300 miles (somewhere around $200 to $900, further distance = more money) b) you come to our store with a rental truck, purchase a grand moving board, blankets, and straps, our local piano mover breaks down the piano, puts it on the board loads it in the truck you rented and you drive the piano back home. This eliminates a lot of unknown variables such as how long does the piano sit in an 18 wheeler or on a loading dock, etc. c)\"Keyboard Carriage\",for a very reasonable fee, somewhere around $600, they willtake it to the nearest piano store to you, then that store would use their delivery service to take it to your home, which meansyou\'d have to have thatstore agree to do this (most pianoswill do this for a reasonable fee if you say the piano was inherited)d)Walter Piano Transport door to door service, get a quote from their websitefont face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\"> e)Uship.com (various shippers offer on this piano move, would definitely want a company with experience handling large grand pianos)
