2 MONGOLIAN 7” Eps c. 1970s (Melodiya & Mongol Ayalguu/ORIGINAL!!)

Up for sale here are two long (33 rpm, not 45)7” Eps from Soviet-era MONGOLIA, featuring native singers and folk songs. Thereare three songs on each record, all sung in Mongolian. I don’t know anythingabout the artists, but the sound is very interesting/hypnotic, and some of thevocals are absolutely unbelievable. Check the soundclip!

Condition: Records are both G, with lots of surface noise and pops throughout.Mongolian records are as scarce as hen’s teeth, though, so it’s amazing to havethem in any condition. The (generic) sleeves they come in are for MongolAyaalgu, the Mongolian state record label during the communist era. The greyone with the fiddle on the front is VG, with some crumpling and small tears anddirt on the plain white back. The multicolored orange/yellow/brown one is G,with a tear at the top and a handwritten message on the back. See pictures.
