Included are 30+1860\'s Era or mid-1900\'sAntique Medicine Bottle Labels (with someunique and unusuallabels included).Theycame from Pharmacies such as: J.B. Brown - 219 N. Main St. in Hannibal, Missouri whichresearch shows to have been inbusinessfrom at least1858 to 1860 (and probably into the early 1900.s). Universal Medicine Co of Chicago and Sturgeons of Kittanning, Pa. and Fuhrman\'s of Oregon (phone number 213) which were reported to be in businessby the early1900s. The Vanilla, Lemon & Glycerine labels came from the stock of J.A. McDonald in Reedsville, Pennsylvania which also was in business around the turn of the lastCentury. The ones from Oliver & Son\'s Drug Store in Fryeburg, Main show the phone number 106. Research shows thatH.P. Mead Pharmacy in Morrison, New Yorkwas known as H.P. Mead\'s from the Civil War years until 1873 when H.E.Chapin joined as partner. It was then known as Read & Chapin\'s until Chapin retired in 1884. Most of the other came from the early 1900s with a few from the mid 1900s.. Someare generic & on light weight paper. Some do not have adhesive gum on the back butthe majority of them do. Afew might havesome antique toning& aging,withminorprintand / or edge flaws.(Please see scans).
The large Renovator label measures 5 1/4 inches by 2 3/4 inches. The Penetrating Liniment label measures3 1/4 inches by 1 1/2 inches. The Poison labels measure 2 1/2 inches by 2 inches. The small round Waggeners label measures 1 inch.
There is also a verysmall blue\"Harrison\'s law\" label included (not pictured) which refers to the Harrison Opium & Narcotics Tax Actpassed onDec 17,1914. Most do not show phone numbers - but theones which do show phone numbers of800& 213 & 106. The scans show the group picture - plus some enlarged and close-up views. We mounted the labels shown in the scans so you could see all of the details. The labels you receive will not be mounted. Overall, they are in Excellent Unused Condition._________________________
