9-Foot Lord Nelson pool table by Peter Vitalie:
$4000.00

It was just brought to my attention that this table was made by Peter Vitalie... it is part of his signature collection... a Lord Nelson table... and from everything that I can tell online, these were made individually... yet, I\'m removing the \"one-of-a-kind\" description, because there are other Lord Nelson tables, even though, when I look at pictures of other Lord Nelson tables online, it seems apparent to me that each one is unique, yet with similar legs and carving patterns.
This one is one of the early tables built whenGil & Andee Atkisson were still out in California.
Here\'s a link to an award from the Billiard Congress of America:Billiard Congress of America AwardThis is a beautiful, hand crafted/carved, hard wood, 9-foot tournament table. It\'s in good shape. It has leather pockets and the diamonds are mother-of-pearl. It comes with the matching wall-mounted cue stick holder, chalk holder and bridge.
As for shipping, I will have it crated and shipped with insurance as part of the price. Local pickup is available, and I don\'t mind to discount the price if buyer is responsible for pickup. Sadly, I must sell this table, as I am moving and I won\'t have a place for it in the new house, so if I get a decent offer, I\'m going to be inclined to accept it.
I\'ve been asked about the brand of the table. This is everything that I know about the table:A couple who are friends of mine from church bought a house out in California 20-30 years ago. They were the second owners. The original homeowners had the house built for them, and when they did, they had this pool table commissioned along with the house. When my friends bought the house, the pool table came with it. When they moved to Tennessee, they still had their children living with them, so they decided to have the table shipped to Tennessee. Their children are now all grown and have families of their own, and none of them has space for a tournament sized pool table, and the parents moved to a much smaller home, so they sold it to me, because I had a large flat and lots of people from the church hung out at my place.
Because the leather pockets were in disrepair, I had a professional come out to service the table and re-felt it (so the pockets are all new)... he looked at it for me to see if he could figure out who had made it, and he couldn\'t find any plate, but he said that it\'s a one-of-a-kind and a very high quality table... all hand carved solid wood, and that whoever was responsible for it was an artist who really knew what he was doing... it\'s one-inch slate in three sections, and it\'s an amazing table... I was really hoping I could get it into the hands of someone who would respect and care for it, and see the value of a one-of-a-kind table like this, but as of tomorrow, I\'m going to have to find something to do with it one way or another... really hoping there\'s a collector out there who would appreciate this table!
