Amazing 1787 New Jersey Copper Camel Head Struck Over 1788 Connecticut PCGS VF25
This incredible coin has moderate wear, chocolate brown surfaces and exceptional eye appeal for the grade. The over strike is bold and very clear, as pictured. Each and every New Jersey issue was struck over another coin. This variety derived its name because of the horse's oversized nose. Early states of this variety show a perfect reverse. Later states of the reverse show light cracks running from the rim just below the E to the shield and another above the first U of PLURIBUS from the rim to the upper left tip of the shield.
This one by far is the best detailed example I've ever seen. Look beyond the technical grade and offer to win. Coins of this caliber and uniqueness are very difficult to find. The centerpiece of any serious Colonial collection and a prize for the specialist.
