American Speedliner 14.5 inch aluminum prototype tether car by Chitwood LLC. A superb contemporarybuild in USA by Joie Chitwood Jr. and Gene Zarembka. We build it as a tribute to the famous vintage Dooling \"Frog\" tether car and the legendary \"Bluebird\" land speed record holder at 403.+ MPH in 1964. This custom car is a guaranteed very limited production , not to exceed (8) cars and is numbered and dated with a Certificate of Authenticity. Our name and designs are registered andcopyrightedunder applicable US law and is sure to be a desired collectible. This prototype is # 8 as seen in the photos is the one you will receive and is the second car offered to the public. This sleek looking Speedliner model is untested and intended for adults only. Modifications, testing, and heat treating are needed to be raced. Race at your own risk as we are not liable for damage or injury to yourself or others. The original Dooling \"Frog\", produced in 1939, was nicknamed for its looks. The popular different looking tether car had advancedstreamlining and unique mechanical features and was driven by a horizontally mounted engine with spur gears. The entire motor assembly, including the drive axle, could be lifted out of the car byremovingjust four screws in the belly pan. This racer has many like updated features and sports a .60 Super Cyclone glow conversion engine. Nicely finished in a 3 color base coat clear coat fuel proof automotive paint. McCoy style wheels and tires, custom fuel tank and approx 2:1 gear ratio. This stylish unique car measures 14 1/2 in. x 6 in. x 3 7/8 in.and has a 10 in. wheelbase. This rare custom car will be a collectible investment and conversation piece. Even as a piece of art for an office or man cave. Photos are part of the description.
