1928 Columbus Model M Peanut Machine
Description:Presented for your consideration is this neat antique peanut machine. The machine is a Model M model and was made by the Columbus Vending Company. The machine has a sea foam green porcelain over metal base and top with a number 4 octagon globe. The globe has an embossed circle with a star in the center; matches the star design on the dispensing flap. Decals on the globe read \"Shake Handle Before Inserting Coin.\" The machine works by inserting a penny in the coin slot on the side and pulling the lever on the opposite side to dispense the peanuts. The machine appears to be complete with the exception of the missing lock and key. At the time of listing the machine is in WORKING condition.This neat and hard to find peanut machine would make a great addition to any antique vending machine collection!
There is a spot of red paint on the side which may be able to be removed. Some oxidation is around the edges and where the base meets the globe and mechanism housing. Some chipping is also present around the bottom edge. Some mild paint wear. As stated above the lock and key are missing from the machine. Typical wear from age and use. Overall in VERY GOOD condition. Please refer to the photos for the best details.
Measures 7\" in diameter at the base and 14\" tall.
