Restored by professional. 5 door Ice box. Beveled mirror door and clear glass windows Custom desichannel iron underframe with castor wheels to make moving simple.Retrofitted with cooling system for multi use as a cold storage unit or wine chiller. Set up with lines for remote compressor location out of sight and hearing. I ran the lines through my wall behind the ice box to my utility room in the laundry room. Has an interior light installation with rope lights to give a nice faint glow to highlight the classic ice box construction. This is a very nicely done example of a bygone era before refrigerators were invented. A sure hit with those who love antique wooden utilitarian items. A conversation piece that I have enjoyed showing to visitors over the many years I have owned this McCray ice box. The condition of the box is in my estimation is superb. Nothing to do but hook the refrigeration lines back up and charge with freon gas or the like. It probably goes without saying that it is heavy and large. So I would recommend a professional mover to mitigate potential damage.
