Antique Victorian Bohemian Harrach Floret Platinum Gold Enamel Art Glass Pitcher:

Description:

- Pitcheris blown of light amethyst coloured glass with an applied colourless handle.
- Beautifully decorated with hand painted enameled florals done in gold gilt and platinum.
- Holds 80 ounces. 8-1/2\" tall.
- Quatrefoil shaped rim has hand painted gold accents along the rim and is 4-3/4\" diameter.
- The base is flat with a polished pontil and is 4\" diameter.
- Shape is documented in the Harrach, \"Shaded Floret\" series. Production started 1890. Floret pitchers with hand panted art work are unique, because only two decors with hand painted floral art work are known out of the 15 different variants found so far. This pitcher has finer quality with master artistry work that is moreexquisitein detail than other hand painted example found. The other known example that is hand painted can be seen in the last pic.
