Art deco chrome-plated eagle motif bottle opener was made by the ChaseBrass & Copper Co. of Waterbury, CT. Introduced in 1937, the design was innovative in that the opener gripped the opposite side of the cap without bending the cap. The cap could then be replaced onto the bottle. The Opener measures 4.5 inches and the condition is good, with clear signs of use (there are areas of brass showing through the chrome finish). The Chase centaur logo and patent pending are present on the clip.
