PIANO TECHNICIAN RECENT EVALUATION

Within the last 20 years the piano was rebuilt. Rebuilding included: refinishing,

repaired sound board, original pin block, restrung, replaced action, replaced

dampers and rebuilt under leavers. The piano has no major issues. Perfect for Hall,

Church School and Mansions.

This was the era, pre-war, which was the heyday of the Baldwin piano company.

Holds tune, huge bass and free action.

The Baldwin model D were the primary choice of concert artists throughout the

20th century. This piano has relatively new hammers, shanks, knuckles, pin block,

strings, back checks, tuning pins, key punchings, key bushings and balance rail

bushings. The piano has a huge bass and a clear projecting sound throughout. This

is an instrument suitable for a performance space, recording studio, or the most

discerning player or collector. The sound board is in excellent condition and the

piano has a very attractive appearance. If you’re looking for the ultimate piano at

the normal price this is a rare find.
