You are viewing a \'genuine\' Baldwin grand piano manufactured in Cincinnati Ohio during the guided age of pianos. Not only is this a remarkable instrument, its historical significance is of value. This is one of the rarest Baldwins out there because it features a gorgeous hand-carved art case. I have yet to see anything like throughout my years of searching, buying and selling grand pianos. If you have ever researched what are the best 7-foot American made pianos of all time, the Baldwin F/SF-10 is almost always on the short list along with Mason & Hamlin BB and Steinway B.
I am selling because I am moving. This piano had been in Ohio its entire life until August of 2014 when I had it moved to California. It had been used in a recording studio for a local radio for nearly 15 years. It is lovely and such a beautiful tone. The case is in less-favorable condition, however everything underneath the hood is immaculate given its age. It was rebuilt in the late 90\'s; I do not know to what extent. However, the soundboard has NO cracks, compressions, vibrations, etc. The keys are new and look stunning, the pins are not oversized, so I assume it has received a new pin block. Piano comes with a newly reupholstered adjustable bench, humidifier and dehumidifier system. I also have a set of massive, solid brass casters that can be included with the purchase if desired.What sets the Baldwin apart are several things: Baldwin was the #1 piano manufacturer of the time and was producing excellent pianos.This piano has a top of the line full German made Renner action, the same as on Hamburg Steinway and Bosendorfer for fluid performance.What makes Baldwin semi-concert grands so sought after is a combination of rich tone with singing treble and thunderous bass along with an incredibly refined response. These instruments are enjoyed by concert pianists, recording studios and small to medium size performance venues. It offers the feel and sound that is incredibly close to a 9-foot piano with less volume and smaller size.
