This is a very old Indian hat from Northwestern California...probably more than 100 years old. It is from the collection of someone who has lived in Humboldt since the 1970s and has had it since that time. She is ready to let go of her collection, and this is the first that is now being offered on . It was woven of natural materials such as maidenhair fern and bear grass that are found in the area. It is in very good condition and the photos don\'t adequately show the beautiful, rich patina. The diameter at the rim is 6 3/4 inches and the depth is 3 1/2 inches.We are not accepting returns so please inspect the photos carefully before offerding. Good Luck!
