From a display within the South Carolina Civil War Museum, this blade is handmade from a sword blade. The leather sheath is designed for a horseman\'s boot, the grip and guard are fitted over the original sword blade\'s tang and capped with brass. Hand cut patterns enhance the grip. Overall length is 16.5\" with a blade length of 12.5\". The leather is supple and has been well stored.
