They were used to section off a portion of the room to provide additional privacy for the users for dinning, greeting guests, Wall hanging decor, or even head board of your be, etc. These screens are often made into not only functional articles but are works of art too as with this 8 panel intricately open 3 D carvings and hand-made wooden screen.
