This whiskey bottle is more than a century old. It is stamped clearly on the bottom April 20, 1897; 1897 is stamped twice. There are no cracks or chips as far as I can discern. However, the bottle is being sold \"as is.\" There are bubbles in the glass and many lines that look like cracks but are not. I am definitely no expert on bottles or anything else for that matter, but this bottle appears handblown. See photographs, and note how the mouth of the bottle varies in thickness. It is clear glass, not purple. An earlier version of this listing accidentally had specifics of purple because I had a borrowed a listing to recycle and did not modify the specifics. My apologies.
