LTX 1050 Cub Cadet Lawn Tractor-302hours- 24hp with 50”mower with cruise control, daughter moved and I took the mower for it sat for the last two years due to some problems that have since been corrected. Now has new lift bars, cables and cables guides for mower, new battery, new headlights complete and mower belt. Mower was dissembled and lubed along with sharpening blades mower has wash station. Complete front end gas three point grease job meaning jacked up, wheels to left grease, wheels straight grease, wheels to left grease also grease all steering gears and front tire mount to axle now steers like power steering wife can turn with no problem and she’s little. . Oil was changed at 297 hours along with inspecting air cleaner and reset plugs gap OK. Clean flywheel and reset air gap for mags. Some stuff marks on body the operator wore boots and rested his heals on that area. Mower was left outside for a time so seat being cloth is not hurt (water proof one ) just doesn’t shine and is not dry rotted and paint is somewhat faded. Removed and lube all pulleys for transmission drive belt. Has a new clutch which it didn’t really need but have the old one which is good along with a new transmission belt that goes with the mower. (That’s around $200 in extra parts).They had the usually problems with this tractor a factory defect which it was throwing the mower belt, after researching this problem I found a Cub Cadet mower Tech. who posted that the bolt for thetension spring on the mower was installed in the wrong hole at the factory. This in turns puts an excessive amount of pressure on the belt and throws it. When I had the mower off I relocated this bolt to the proper hole--there’s two holes and at the factory they installed many if not all of them in the wrong hole, for if you read up on this mower that’s one of the biggest complaints that the belt comes off. I’d like to keep it but I have a smaller tractor and just had a shed built with the doors to fit it, this one won’t fit in shed.
