Made by knifemaker Andrew Clifford about 7-8 years ago. Full tang constructed. Made like the rmk 15 air man. I was not a fan of having to wait 5-6 years (at the time) to have a R M. K to make a 14 atta ck / 15 air man fighting knife. I had this one made by Andrew instead. This was from the period in which Andrew had his smaller knives engraved with his "ACK" on the ricasso rather than stamping while tempering, before heat treating. I never thought I would get rid of it so I had it blasted to get rid of the reflective finish which also removed the "ACK", however I have the picture certificate of authenticity for it that has been signed by Andrew. As a good collector, buyer of his knives for over 10 years all of his knives I sell can be vouched for by Andrew himself.****KNIFE/SHEATH SPECS:The knife in the sheath measures 13 1/2" long. Knife alone 10 3/8" long overall (with a 5 5/8" long blade/cutting edge), stout 3/16" thick. x 1 1/4" wide from spine to edge. Made from 440C stainless steel. Two tone gray canvas micarta scales with hollow 1/4" handle pins. Full tang construction with the tang visible at the top running through the handle. The tang also protrudes through the micarta handle at the end just like the Vietnam era r*ndall 14 Attack tenite. One awesome one of a kind by a great, proven maker.There was not a leather sheath with, for this knife. I instead opted for the 6" digital urban gray Spec Ops Combat Master sheath rather than a custom made leather sheath by Andrew. However, I have recently paired the knife with a new, unused 5.5" -6" leather Rick Rhondo Johnson type roughback, splitback, riveted "C-sheath". Rhondo sheaths are great. I put the quality just under Andrew's, Vince Peloza's and well better than any savage sheath. It does come with a brand new sharpening stone however it fits really snug. It will be included but you may want to find a thinner sheath. Rhondo sheaths do not come with a sharpening stone. You can go off the measurements of the included stone to find a thinner stone to fit.
I plan to utilize the money from my collection to buy, order several more ACK knives and other custom knives made by other makers that I have been wanting for several years. I am starting the offer at $10. The buyers will decide the ending price. Since I had this knife made there are no others like it by this maker, although Andrew has always stated that he should start making these for regular sale he has never actually done so. IF you happen to miss out on this one I bet he would take your order for one when his backlogg is worked down and he is caught up.? It would require over a one year wait to get a knife made as Andrew is backlogged and behind. I have never seriously used this knife. I have never "carried" it beyond a few times at the gun shows, shown in to friends and displayed it in my knife case in my office. It is a useable knife. has been hand sharpened by the maker after blasting.Good luck and thanks for looking.
