Exceptional original Hallicrafters S-53 broadcast/shortwave radio:

One of Hallicrafters\' prettier radios. Very clean and sharp throughout. Unrestored except 3 weak tubes replaced, bandspread dial cord replaced, brittle pilot light wires replaced, polarized power cord installed (for safety). 1 cap has been replaced by a previous owner. The others are original but there is virtually no hum and local broadcast stations come in loud and clear. Bands 2 & 3 pulled in stations at night. No immediate activity on the other bands but they responded to a signal generator. 2 small \"mystery\" holes in top grill that had been filled with bolts that I removed.Some very minor blemishes. No dents. All controls operate smoothly. Glass is clear (I polished both sides when I had the front off to replace the dial cord).

I\'ve had it in my collection for some time, starting to downsize.
