Model 2 Federal Signal Corporation Air raid siren.

Not sure of the actual manufacture date but lettering on housing look to be 1960s or early 1970s.

Looks like the air raid siren seen in the old sci-fi atomic war movies.

Siren is complete with outer housing. Someone started to clean the top of the housing for repainting/restoration and then stopped.

Label reads:

AC DC 15 Min cycle 12 FL Amps 6000 RPM 240 Volt 1 PH Code E Model 2 Serial # F0016811C96

Unit has not been tested but the bearing turns freely and looks clean so we believe it would work.

Because it has not been tested it is being sold as is for display.

Housing/shell measures a generous 19 x 22\"
