Item Description Heathkit SB1000 Linear Amp Hi Voltage Recap Kit - Eight 210mfd/450VDC Screw Terminal Capacitors (1.38\" dia x 2.375\" tall)

This listing is for eight 270mfd/450VDC computer caps with screw terminals (new screws included) that are 1.38 inches in diameter and 2.375\" tall and an exact fit replacement for the existing 180 or 210mfd/450vdc 4.5\" caps but they give more capacity, smaller space and \"turbo\" the high voltage regulation giving higher average PEP output.

I recently recapped many amplifiers with these higher capacity caps and increased the average output about 100 watts or more over the stock capacitors. Had a hard time finding quality caps that were the right size yet had the quality for needed for high power amplifiers. I now have a good source for these caps and thought I would put together this kit for other amp owners who have similar cap sizes.

Kit contains 8 caps - all identical and instructions for cap replacement.

Note - your original caps may be 180 or 210 mfd giving an effective series filtering capacitance of 22.5 mfd at 3600 volts. These smaller, higher capacity caps give an effective filtering capacitance of 33.75 mfd at 3600 vdc - a 50% increase in capacitance! You get more average PEP output and less hum from the power supply - time to upgrade now!

Our pre-packaged GENERIC, PRIMO and ULTIMO vacuum tube sets use a combination of vintage tubes from the 1940’s to new tubes of the present. All of our tubes are tested, matched when necessary and carefully placed into custom tube sets for our customers at everyday affordable prices.

We often get tubes into our tube lab that are decades old it and it is hard to determine if they are New in the Box (NIB), New Old Stock (NOS), bulk lots sold without boxes, or replacement tubes with great life still left in them. Our extensive experience and comprehensive testing means we throw out a lot of old and new tubes if they test below minimum “NEW” reading on our calibrated tube testers or they don’t pass the LIFE TEST. You can be assured that all the tubes we sell are NIB/NOS or tested new or better according to manufacturer standards. MATCHED TUBE SETS are matched first for manufacturer (tube code, not label) and then for gain/current draw.

We don’t always specify the brands sold in PRIMO Tube sets since we want to give you the BEST VALUE for the price. Some tube sets have brand options such as EHX = Electro Harmonix, JJ, GNLX (Genalex), VA = Valve Art, Russian and the choice is ours unless you specify a brand preference prior to shipment. Our Refund and Product Warranty

TUBEMEISTER warrants against “DOA” (“dead-on-arrival”) or differences between an item description (exclusive of illustrative pictures) and the items received. Any DOA or defective item should be returned (e.g. in transit back to us with a copy of the invoice) within 7 days of your receipt of the item and notification to us using messaging for our record. Please include a brief description of the problem and use your ID in all correspondence.

Due to the many variations in circuit components including the condition and aging of capacitors, resistors, etc, we can not guarantee how a particular tube will sound in your equipment compared to your current tubes. Our tube set configurations are based upon customer response of tubes that sound good and are the most popular for the amp/preamp/radio. We offer custom configurations by individual request but we don\'t accept returns for tubes that are fully functionsal but \"don\'t sound good\" or \"don\'t look new\" (many vintage NOS tubes lose their label when cleaned and we repackage tubes in new boxes when the old boxes are no longer usable).

Occasionally we ship the wrong tube or tube set and we will gladly replace the wrong shipment with the proper item at our cost. We test all tubes prior to shipment and warrant that they test as “new” or better on our calibrated tube tester. Due to differences in vintage tube gear we can not guarantee that the tubes will test the same in your tube tester or will meet the specifications of your particular equipment or are fit for a particular application.

We DO NOT WARRANT the operation of our tubes in defective amplifiers or electronic equipment! If you plug our tubes into your equipment and the tubes fail to light up or flash on power up or otherwise fail and upon return to our labs we measure dead tubes, then you WILL NOT RECEIVE A REFUND for the tubes returned. Make sure your amplifier/electronic equipment is operational before you plug in new tubes (from us or any other vendor). If you are not sure, take your equipment to a qualified technician who can install our tubes correctly.

If you need to return your purchase and request a refund, we do not refund shipping and insurance charges that were incurred to ship the product to you or return the product to us. If your purchase has a refund option (check the sale), we will issue a refund only after the products are returned and have been verified to be the same ones sent and also test new or better on our tube tester. Purchase refunds will be in the same form as purchase payments.

Please use \'s mail message forwarding system ONLY as we cannot reply to email sent to our Paypal address. We use the email system to contact you and it works very well for us. We cringe just thinking about our great customers throwing away their old tubes which end up in the local dump. Many times the old tubes have hours of good life and great tunes left in them for people to enjoy. We set up a tube recycling program where you get cash for your good tubes returned to us. We test and recycle them to new customers at great prices, and the planet has a few less pieces of glass and metal buried for hundreds of years!

Credits typically run a maximum (all tubes reusable) 20-25% of the original tube set prices so you have a real incentive to buy from us and also recycle your old tubes. Ask other vendors to issue a trade in credit and they only laugh at you! We pay you hard cash for your reusable tubes and that is just another reason to buy from TUBEMEISTER! A Recycle form is sent with your tube set and instructions on returning your old tubes.
