According to Apache tradition, the Gahn were sent by the Life-Giver to show the Apache rituals to invoke blessings and strong medicine for disease. As time passed, the Apache acted badly, so the Gahn left. Eventually the Apache realized their mistake. Today the songs and dances of Mountain Spirit Dancers represent the Gahn, summoning their power.
