IRON HEIANJO TSUBA CONVERTED TO POLE ARMIRON TSUBA-83X82X5mm, iron Heianjo tsuba with brass inlaid flowers and vines. Grass trimmed nawame (rope) border. Four heart shaped (boar\'s eyes) openings. Early Edo period. What makes this a rare find for the Heianjo collector is that it has been altered for use on a pole arm (perhaps a naginata or jumonji yari) long ago and shows use.
