This listing is for a Green Depression, Jeannette Hex Optic Salt and Pepper Shaker Set in Green with original lids. The pattern is often called Honeycomb and was manufactured by Jeannette from 1928 to 1932. The Hex Optic features rows of hexagons on a conical shape. Under ultraviolet light the uranium salts used in the production of the classic depression and vaseline glass make for a great conversation.
The shakers measure 3\" high with the lid and weigh 7.7 oz as a set.
One shaker is slightly bowed on the base giving a slight wobble. Both shakers are free of chips, cracks and fleabites, including on the screw threads and lip. There are no notable marks from use or storage. The bases have very slight wear. Both have some air bubbles in the glass, with one on the surface of the side. The glass is wonderfully clear and glow nicely under UV lighting.
Both lids show signs of age and use, but display nicely and are still usable as is. This is a great set and will be a excellent addition to anyone\'s Salt and Pepper or Depression glass collection.
