In an attempt to compete with the top-selling Blue Schwinn bicycles with chrome fenders, John Deere introduced a blue with chrome fenders model. This marketing attempt failed with only 700 blue bicycles built. Few were sold, many were given away, and few have survived.A nice Blue JD \"Men\'s bicycle such as this is extremely difficult to find, since few men ever chose any color other than a green JD bicycle.
