1985 AM General M1038 Humvee w/winch.
  • This Humvee was serviced and upgraded by Rank & File in Wisconsin. They have completed over 20 Humvee conversions and the owner is an ASE certified diesel mechanic.
  • This item is for sale on and locally, however this should not detour a serious buyer from contacting me to make an appointment to inspect the vehicle.
  • This was originally a M998 but this has an OEM winch. (Rebuilt with new cable and solenoids and includes the controller, new controller box and snatch-block).
  • 10,000 miles on military overhaul. Currently 11,007 on the odometer.
  • Reason for selling - I have only owned this for 6 months. The Illinois Secretary of State will not license a Humvee. The plate in the picture was revoked by the state.
  • When the military rebuilt this Humvee, they installed an upgraded C2 engine, fresh TH400 transmission and a HD NP242 transfer case. The C2, 6.2 diesel starts quicker and without the usual cold-start smoke.
  • Clear IL title and includes a copy of the Department of Defense release SF-97 certification.
  • NEW 4-man camo soft top and cargo extension kit with 4 Hard X Doors.
  • Good glass on all four. The smooth-running engine is the updated \"C2\" variant 6.2 that is smokeless when cold starting.
  • New batteries, alternator and starter. (A2 towing version) NP242 HD transfer case.
  • Parking brake service/caliper upgrade kit. 6K, 24V OEM winch package. Fresh pioneer tool kit located under the rear of the bed.

  • HD NP242 transfer case. This T-case hasan active oil pump to increase lube to all interior bearings. The originalor earlier NP218 did not.

  • Both front CV shafts and CV seals have been replaced.

  • New HD Air Lift rear bumper with lifting shackles. All 4 seating positions have the Mil-spec OEM shoulder seat belt reels installed.
  • New LED headlights. 24V Backup lights have been installed.
  • Civilian Master Lighting Switch upgrade. Retains OEM switch but allows the brake lights, turn signals and horn to operate whenever the ignition is turned on ...verses having to remember to turn on the headlights every time you drive.
  • Includes a new Series 10 Operator\'s manual. All dingy decals, interior pads and gauges have been replaced with new. The tires are Goodyear Wrangler 37x12.50 R 165LT. They have 90% tread and are loaded on 24 bolt battle wheels, balanced with run flats.
  • The suspension and steering have all been inspected by an ASE Diesel technician with all worn parts replaced with new.
  • All 4 wheels are aligned. All belts and major hoses are fresh.
  • All engine, trans and T-case lubricants and filters are new.
  • Perfect frame, great suspension, no leaking shocks, great floorboards.
  • 2-7-17 New glow plug controller & protective Control Box – Matched set (KDS Smart Start System) and new glow plugs (these parts were $677.00)
