Up for sale is this almost new, Orvis Battenkill Bar Stock IV fly reel in the black finish. This particular reel is an earlier model that was made in England, not China as was the case with later manufactured reels. The BBS IV is a 3.32 in. diameter, standard arbor reel, with a listed weight of 4.5 oz. It is machined from aircraft grade, bar-stock aluminum, with an offset-gear, Rulon disc drag.The reel is in almost new shape. Other than corner rubs on the reel foot from being on a rod, the cosmetics are perfect. Working condition is as new. Reel is lined with backing and an Orvis Wonderline Advantage Trout WF7F line. It is set for left hand retrieve, and is readily user convertible to right hand. With the reel comes a zippered, padded Orvis pouch in very good shape.
