Original U.S. Civil War M1841 Naval Cutlass. This sword remains in good attic un-touched condition, and has never been cleaned at least in modern times. This was the classic Union Navy cutlass used during the Civil War and this specimen is marked USN, D.R. (government inspected) and dated 1863 on the ricasso.
