Offering this delightful egg carrier to hold a dozen eggs. These were given to customers to transport eggs from the local store to home much like the heavy cardboard cartons we have now. There would be a thin wood \"lid\" that would fit on top and then the metal \"handle\" would slid over to \"lock\" the lid in place. Nice painted stenciling on side identifying it as a Star Egg Carrier (see pics). This item is well made, intact and strong. The inside cardboard dividers are still present with one divider missing (see pic). I state only to be accurate as this does not detract from the integrity of the piece.
