VintagePuma \'Auto Messer\' (White Hunter) hunting knife with a 6” blade, 10 3/4”overall. Date code on guard, 96922. Blade alsomarked ‘Allzweck Messer’, (which means utility knife) and D.B.G.M. Germany. Top of blade has thumb notches. Genuine matched wood handles with large brasshandle fasteners and lined thong hole.No chips or cracks in wood. Inoriginal brown leather sheath with Puma marked rivets. Rear of sheath has a few scuffs.

Manufacturedin Germany and designed as an automobile accessory (Auto Knife). Don’tbelieve this model was ever marketed in USA.

Knifeis in good condition.Very sharp edge. Knifeis straight and tight. Sheath is in verygood condition.Leather is supple and stitching sound.

Rare knife. Essentiallyidentical to a White Hunter model.
