This is a REAL poultry House lantern, has all of it's stencil that says as you can see COLEMAN QUICK LITE POULTRY HOUSE LANTERN and then under it " THE HENS THAT LAY ARE THE HENS THAT PAY"....If the lantern doesn't say this it isn't a poultry House Lantern but just a Jumbo Lantern...Less then 700 of these Poultry House Lanterns like this were made in 1923 and today they are the holy grail of Coleman lantern collecting. This lantern is freash from being found in an old barn / chicken house and has not been messed with or cleaned etc Unlike so many desirable lanterns never monkeyed with. I would saay it is in VERY GOOD condition. Large Tank is fine, no holes, dents etc. Good markings as you can see. Some damage to the mica windo pannels but these can be easly replaced. Few minor dents along the edge of the cap,... Iron bail is fine.. ..Do not know that the lantern functions as I have not tried it and you are buying it as shown and as described. A wonderful classic Coleman that would be the centerpoint of any collection and one you can be proud to own....I know and you know that this is a vaulable lantern but I'm starting the sale low with and as always actual postage ccharged depending on where you live [ weighs just over 9 lbs boxed to ship].
