This fan runs well on all 3 speeds. It has a Universal AC / DC motor. It appears to have the original paint on the base & motor. There has been very little touch up to the paint. It has the original felt on the base. The cord has been replaced at some point. Some of the original gold pin striping is still visible. Back in 1918 you could order this fan in Oscillating (List # 3100) or as a non oscillating fan (List # 3000). I believe that the List # 3000 is more rare as the cost was not that much different so most people ordered the List # 3100.
As info, I have been collecting R&M fans for 20 years and have just recently started selling them.
It is a nice little 9\" brass bladed fan.
