Sauerbier model 1850 foot officer\'s sword with it\'s original scabbard. Sword is rather salty showing some traces of gold gilt to brass parts. Blade is correctly etched for Sauerbier with pen knife type blade ricasso and unstopped fullers and bears US and patriotic motifs as shown. Grip is missing most of it\'s shagreen warp but retains original wire. All the right Sauerbier features- slotted screw attaches guard to pommel with pommel retained by spanner nut. Scarce to find a Sauerbier with it\'s original scabbard. Buyer to pay 25.00 for careful shipping. This sword is subject for sale locally and on our web site.
