SUPERIOR OLD SHERRY BOTTLE VINTAGE 186? EXCELLANT CONDITION, 150+ years old :
$520.00

Superior Sherry bottle. EMPTY. Label is torn andstained...surprised? Looks like the date is 1865 but is hard to tell if thelast digit is a 5.

I am not advertising it as 1865. Please look atthe photos and you decide.

This bottle has been in our family for 80+ years. Our Grandmother found it in the basement of the house where they were caretakers in center city Philadelphia, around 4th & Spruce. DURING THE DEPRESSION. She told me she just liked the shape and and always like antiques. Heck, it was already 65 years old when she found it! She didn\'t know who drank it! LOL

No chips in glass & the seal it not intactbut remnants are still left of it. It is hard and brittle.

The abbreviation for Philadelphia way back thenwas Philada. [I have a beaver skin high hat with the same abbreviation].

Overall, a VERY nice specimen.

The label reads:

Ye Olde Wine Store

John Gilmore

826 Walnut St Philada.

Est. 1858

Nothing else has been filled in where it reads

bottled______ ,style_____, for Mr._________, or recorked.

I will pack this in a double box. Please don\'t hesitate to ask questions. Thanks for looking.
