Three trapswith some normal rust. Still structurally sound, however, and Have been stored in dry surroundings in a barn for many years.
These are small to medium sized traps with jawsabout 3 1/2 inches wide and larger. Might have been used on a trap line where muskrats, mink or other small animals were the prey. My guess, however, is that the smallest of the three wasused to kill rats infesting a corn crib or endangering farm chickens in a henhouse.
Look carefully at the pictures. What you see is what you get. Very nice traps, historical value. One has a V that I believe indicates manufacture by Victor. I have no idea what company might have manufactured the others.
I do want to caution anyone who is thinking about buying these - THEY ARE NOT TOYS - if you buy them, be very careful if you try to set them and use them. They are powerful trapping tools, and if you happen to \"trip\" one of them while setting it, it could smash your fingernails, or possibly even clip off the end of a finger or two.
NOTE: Following my78th birthday in August, 2016, time to let go of some items I have cherished (and I have many of them!) and allow someone else to enjoy them. All in all, I plan to offer for sale about 25 of the woodworking tools and numerous miscellaneous farm antiques. I have collected over the past few decades. Will also offer a good many fishing lures, reels, etc.
