Fantastic Vintage Doctor\'s Bag
This bag was a recent estate score and is so unique and special, I\'d love to keep it, but...someone really needs to enjoy this. The leather appears to be a lizardskin, or maybe just embossed steerhide--it doesn\'t look like embossed, but I do NOT know for certain--please supersize the pics. to determine for yourself. Classic styling, with matching handles, brass and copper hand-finished rivets, metal feet, locking flap closure, leather-lined and solid craftsmanship throughout. I have looked very close and find no maker\'s marks.
Bag is clean and in excellent vintage shape, as-found: the flap closes snug (3-positions) and opens with the slide mechanism--you could find a key if you actually wanted it to "lock." It has a tell-tale vintage aroma, but nothing offensive--just old and will go away with use. Really a nice, useable size for everyday carrying: approx. 13" x 8" x 6".
