The photograpgh doesn\'t do justice to this artwork, much more appreciative in person I can assure you. Raphaeli was born in Italy in 1910. Emigrated to America in 1931. Works in the old world technique of enameling on steel. After painting, each work is kiln fired. Raphaeli has been assisted for the last 22 years by his daughter Esterida, an artist in her own right. Both are 1971 recipients of the E.A.C. Award of Merit as stated backside of this lovely piece of artwork. A rare opportunity to acquire a scarce piece of artwork! The artwork measures 6\" x 4\". Housed in a pretty silver painted period wood frame that measures 10\" x 8\".
