These are from my brothers collection - he was the World Champion BMXer in 1981/2 and had a lot of sponsorship. Mongoose and Vans were his top sponsors. This is the elusive decal from the 1982 Grand Prix of the US - the only sticker that was allowed on the controversial plates in 1981! The picture uploaded is of the 1981 decal....I\'ve already sold that one (on the plate that is). It looks like they changed their mind and allowed more decals in 1982, looking at the pictures.
It is in superb condition, not used, and very rare. You only got this if you went through the round robin stages....I\'m finding these all over my brothers things, along with the elusive Mongoose WINNERS CIRCLE STICKER, but I am thinking this may be the last one I have.
I\'ve tried my best to describe as thoroughly as possible.
Please look at the photos carefully and ask as many questions PRIOR to offerding. Apologies in that its difficult taking pictures of metallic images so you can see shadows lurking in the back!! They don\'t have big black shadows on them, I can tell you, assure you that. Apologies my brothers pictures aren\'t very clear - I can scan in if you want further detail that these stickers were on his bike (well, not these exact ones, but the same edition, same collection) as these are photos of photos.
There are no refunds as I\'m moving house and need to liquidate a lot of my childhood memories!Also, my brother, who these belonged to, recently passed away, so I truly want this to go to an appreciate collector. I have no choice who buys, that\'s just what i\'d like ;) I want his legacy to be appreciated.
I will be posting standard economy Canada Post , wrapped in cling film/saran wrap unless otherwise requested. Their flat rate to US/Canada is $3.00, so you can see, there is very little markup here.If you\'re interested internationally, please contact me for shipping costs as Canada Post can be very expensive.
