Vintage Singer 301 A Black Slant Needle sewing Machine.

This sale is for a vintage singer 301 A sewing machine manufactured in the 1950\'s. The singer 301A is a light featherweight 16 pound sewing machine with an aluminum frame and a direct steel gear drive. The straight stitch singer 301a is often called the Big Sister to the Singer Featherweight. The Singer 301A has a slant shank design and the ability to sew denim, sail cloth,and vinyl as well as lightweight fabrics. Perfect quilting machine. The Singer 301 features a handy drop/feed for free motion embroidering or darning and a large 5\" opening under arm for quilting. The Singer 301 A is finished with a shines black enamel with gorgeous gold decals. This long bed machine with convient built in handle for lifting and carrying. Machine looks good with minimal wear. It does work making strong precise stitches. Uses class 221 bobbins and standard household sewing machine needles (15 x 1).

The machine does work, but I am not a sewing machine services person to say anything technical. The person that did have it before it sat in storage, did get it serviced (and there are receipts to say so). Since I have had it, it was stored. I know the peddle, light, and sewing all work. So should just need a cleanup and few adjustments in my opinion. **THIS DOES NOT COME IN CABINET** IT WILL BE DETACHED FROM THE CABINET(as cabinet is to big for shipping)
