$25000.00

PLEASE DON\'T SELECT BUY IT NOW UNLESS YOU ARE SERIOUS, AS IT REMOVES THE sale FROM AND FORCES ME TO RELIST. THANK YOU.
Up for offer is this beautiful, stylish, hard to find Airfloat travel trailer, professionally restored to it\'s original condition. You rarely see one of these trailers on the market, let alone one that is in such grand condition.
I call her Flo.
The front and rear ends have been rebuilt, utilizing the original structural design when framed. All new electrical throughout is new romex with new J boxes and grounded. All propane lines in the trailer are new, and tested for leaks, with a current style, full tank mounted to the front with original tie down. Tongue jack is original and has been refurbished, and raises easily. 2\" ball for towing.
Tires are new and the bearings have been packed.
The floor is solid and has new one piece sheet vinyl. Central closet and refrigerator cabinetry and shelves are original. The galley lower cabinet was salvaged from a vintage Airstream, and has new doors and drawers, the faces cut from a single sheet of birch so the grain patterns all line up. The galley upper was fabricated new from pictorial reference, using salvaged Airfloat compartment doors. The dinette is also new construction replicating the original design from photographs. I decided on a gaucho sofa for the bedroom, to have a place to sit and relax, but then makes down to a 48\" x 78\" bed made with all new 5\" foam and new vinyl. I added side tables that arekitchen uppers, salvaged from a vintage Dalton trailer, and made tops for them.
The entire interior (walls, ends and ceiling) is new birch, with new heat reflective insulation throughout.
The closet can be used to close off the bedroom for privacy, or just in case you are lazy and don\'t feel like making the bed! :P There is a latch at the top to lock it closed either from the inside of the bedroom or the outside. Closets are roomy and have full length hanger area.
There was no bathroom in this model, but looks like a porta potty would fit into either of the closets.
All other counter surfaces are vintage salvaged white with glitter sparkle, including the dinette table. The dinette makes down to a 41\" x 78\" bed, also made of all new materials.
The sconces were fabricated to match the original design and placed in their original positions in the trailer. New LED bulbs keep the heat down and last a very long time. There is also a can light in the galley upper cabinet that shines light directly onto the kitchen counter top and is turned on from a wall switch next to the power outlets I added a vintage Veritas propane lamp in the bedroom area. Not original design, but I thought it would be nice to have a light back there along with the 110 v sconce, just in case there were no hookups. The front Lamp is also a vintage Veritas, and both work well.
The Refrigerator is a 110 v Marvel, the model that was original to this trailer. The stove is an early Modernaire, not original, but very close inappearance to the original Preway. Both have been restored to a like new condition and work great. Fridge gets ice cold in about 20 minutes. The sink faucet has new gaskets and works great.
Original Woodlin windows open freely and have new screens on them. All port hole frames are original.
The door lock assembly is a hard to find vintage Bargman L-54 (often called an H20, after the number on the handle). This is the original model handle to the Airfloats, and works well, with 2 keys.
New screen door has been fabricated to match the old \"radio\" style door. Pretty cool looking!
The porch light works and I have installed a switch inside near the door, set into the birchpaneling, after the original design.
Running, stop and turn light wiring is all new with a flat 4 connector, all light assemblies are vintage.
All exterior trim, from where the side walls meet the roof and around the front and rear corners, to the bottom trim and wheel wells- has been removed, cleaned and reinstalled using polyurethane sealant. Same for all roof vents, windows and drip caps.We recently experienced a few days of heavy rain and there were absolutely no leaks anywhere.
Professionally painted at an auto shop using 2 part automotive paint. NOT brushed on!
I love these trailers, and I have made every effort to bring this trailer back to it\'s original glory. A \"new\" trailer that is 62 years old!! She has her share of beauty marks from her long life, but don\'t hold that against her. It\'s character. Besides, beauty lies beneath the skin, right?! :)
Please ask any questions you may have, and I have photo\'s of the restoration from start to finish if you would like to inspect my work. I assure you, I would drive this trailer across the country without a second thought.
I am accepting offers and have listed this locally and on other sites, and reserve the right to end the sale at any time should I receive a fair offer. I have placed a reserve on this trailer that I feel is worthy of not only my efforts, but reflects the rarity and uniqueness of this trailer, as well as it\'s current condition.
Winning buyer is to pay a non refundable deposit via Paypal within 24 hours of sales end of $1,000.00, the balance to be paid in cash upon pick up. I do not ship, and cannot store this trailer (the next one is here already!!). Sold as is, with a bill of sale only, no title. It has a 1951 California plate on it, but I do not know if it\'s clear.
Thank you for looking, and offerding. I really hope that Flo finds a loving home and makes someone out there very happy. It\'s why I do what I do.
