Here is one vintage art deco chrome and black desk lamp. The \"Quill\" lamp was made by the Chase Copper & Brass company from 1936-1940. It measures 10 1/2 inches tall. The base is 4 1/2 inches long by 3 1/2 inches. It features a raised crossed quill design on the base, a ribbed chrome stem and embossed \"speed lines\" on the metal shade. The shade is also adjustable. This lamp is pictured on page 84 of the book \"1930\'s Lighting - Deco and Traditional by Chase\". As pictured, there are a few minor areas of missing paint. There is a small stress crack in the metal located at one corner. There is some marring on the ribbed stem located on the underside. All of these issues are pictured and overall rather minor. The lamp has the original cord and does work, however you may want to have it rewired for safety reasons.
